So today I competed/watched the preliminaries of the awesome Urban Word NYC teen poetry slam. In short, it was awesome and there were so many phenomenal young people coming out and expressing their views through this powerful medium. It's an awesome organization that allows free speech, educational development and cheap events(oh, & the talent is crazy). If you can come to the events, do so!! Tickets for the grand slam finals at the apollo are already half sold!!!!
